LSI Management can supply designs, documentation and management for the following services:
It is a requirement in many States that essential services meet annual performance and design testing requirements. The complying performance of essential services needs to be detailed on an Annual Fire Safety Statement and presented to your local council in order to satisfy the relevant Act or Regulation for that State. Having built our business around AFSS Management to help take the onus away from the building owner, we have created our own unique software package to help manage the contractor’s on site while collating the necessary information prior to sign-off each year. This software is accessible from any computer with internet access therefore ongoing monitoring and assessment is possible from practically anywhere in the world.
LSI Management can provide Fire Sprinkler System designs to comply with Australian requirements for your building or tenancy works. Having worked closely with contractors for many years, we believe that we can offer the most cost-effective and practical solution for any type of space and building classification.
Each year people die or are seriously injured as a result of fires in buildings, yet many fires can be avoided by taking the correct precautions. If a fire does break out, the effects can be minimised by having effective controls and procedures in place. LSI Management can provide fire detection and alarm system designs for buildings of all sizes and uses in accordance with the Building Code of Australia and the applicable Australian Standards. This process will ensure that we provide the client with the most suitable and cost-effective design to suit their individual needs.
Fire hydrant and hose reel systems are a form of active, manually operated fire protection systems which allow the occupants or brigade to direct a jet of water directly at a fire to help quell the flames and stop the fire spreading. LSI Management can provide BCA / Australian Standard compliant designs for these services to ensure compliance is achieved in full.
For occupants to evacuate a building safely and efficiently during an emergency, it is vital that they are directed straight to the closest exit to minimise egress time and maximise life safety. With this in mind, LSI Management can supply BCA / Australian Standard compliant E & E lighting designs to suit any application.
The EWIS is used to warn the building occupants of an emergency and then advise them to evacuate in a fire scenario. In most modern EWIS systems a recorded evacuation message is used to instruct occupants to evacuate with the panel ‘cascading’ out to evacuate the building in a staged and timely manner. The EWIS system has two components: the public address system (which also generates the evacuation signals), and the warden intercom phones which are used to inform fire wardens of the appropriate action to take on each floor. LSI Management can supply EWIS designs for any type of application, ranging from minor tenancy works right up to EWIS panel upgrade works covering entire multi-storey buildings to comply with the Building Code of Australia and all applicable Australian Standards.
Compartmentation in buildings is the fundamental basis and aim of passive fire protection. The idea is to subdivide a structure into 'fire compartments', which may contain single or multiple rooms for the purpose of limiting the spread of fire, smoke and flue gases, in order to enable occupants to escape and then contain the fire to minimise damage prior to the brigade arriving on site.
As well as providing design and documentation for all of the above services, we can also offer considerable reviewing and auditing skills for both these services and more through either desktop review of documentation supplied or by conducting walk through’s and audits on site. Please forward your query onto us and we can write a scope of works up to match your needs.
